PRII Constructs Bamboo Boardwalk As Part of Mangrove Reforestation Efforts

Philippine Resins Industries, Inc.(PRII) representatives conducted a site visit at the 2-ha adopted mangrove resforestation site in Camachile, Orion, Bataain to oversee the ongoing construction of the 100-meter bamboo boardwalk on February 7, 2019. 

On March 11, 2019, PRII inaugurated the newly constructed bamboo boardwalk at the PRII-adopted 2-ha mangrove reforestation area. To assist in the livelihood of local fisherfolks, 500 mudcrabs/crablets were also released, as part of the aqua silviculture livelihood project jointly undertaken by PRII with the local fisherfolk organization SAMACA INC. (Samahan ng Magdaragat ng Camachile), the local government units and regional environment office.
